– L1 Association’s artists in collage labyrinth – 

Intimate. Democratic. Honest. Absurd. 

„Photo-based collage series, featuring L1 Association’s artists as a model created. “Anything comes from nothing.” […] At the age of 5, I stood at the switchboard with the fast-paced speed of the Videoton color TV monitor: news signal, Fabulon smile, antfootball, lottery, antfootball, delta’s snowstorm, panorama’s typewriter, antfootball, musicboutique-musicboutique, antfootball. From the second of the epileptic flashes I know what the world is beyond the Operence. With my collage series, I present the artwork of the L1 Association’s members in their quality beyond Operence.”

 „Bármi következik semmiből.”

– az L1 Egyesület alkotóművészei kollázs labirintusban – 

Intim. Demokratikus. Őszinte. Abszurd.

„A Pataphysics fotóalapú kollázssorozat, mely az L1 Egyesület művészeinek modellként való közreműködésével jött létre. „Bármi következik semmiből.” […] 5 évesen a Videoton színes tv monitora előtt állok a kapcsolópanelen villám gyorsasággal váltogatom a csatornákat: híradó szignál, fabulonos mosoly, hangyafoci, lottósorsolás, hangyafoci, delta hóvihar, skálakópé, panoráma írógépkattogás, hangyafoci, zenebutik-zenebutik, hangyafoci. Az epileptikusan felvillanó képek másodpercéből tudom, hogy milyen a világ az Operencián túl. A kollázs sorozatommal az L1 egyesületi alkotótársakat ebben, az Operencián túli minőségükben mutatom be.”

Ecce Homo – Reload!

 

 „In 2019, halfway through my residency at the L1 Association, a cooperation was established with dancer and choreographer Eszter Herold, which resulted in these series of photos and a video. Our joint project began with a video recording of Eszter’s improvisational motions, but the fluctuating rhythm and the power of her motions in the snapshots immediately set me free from the germs of the idea of a photo series. […] During the editing of the video I re-created the motion picture, the “video”, by animating the depicted images with a slow motion effect. It has finally become clear to me that it is possible to combine technical procedures and mediums with unlimited freedom, often disregarding the rigid rules of professional traditions. The person as creator cannot be dominated by the technique she uses, because if it is a hierarchical relationship, then it would be professionalism or correctness only, not creation. For me, the indispensable essence of creation is experimentation, the uncertain outcome, the possibility of error, or the possibility itself […].”

 

 

 „2019-ben a L1 Egyesületben töltött rezidensi évem felénél jött létre Herold Eszter táncos és koreográfussal az az együttműködés, aminek eredményeként született a most látható fotósorozat és a videó. A munkafolyamatunk Eszter improvizatív mozdulatainak videó felvételével indult, de a mozgásának változó ritmusa, mozdulatainak pillanatképekbe merevedő ereje azonnal elvetette bennem a fotósorozat ötletének csíráit. […] A videó vágása során a leképzett fotók slow motion effekttel való animálásával újra mozgóképet, „videót” hoztam létre. Végérvényesen megerősödött bennem, hogy a technikai eljárások, médiumok kombinálása határtalan szabadsággal lehetséges, sokszor még a szakmai hagyományok által megmerevedett szabályok figyelembevétele nélkül is. Az alkotó emberen nem uralkodhat az általa használt technika, mert ha itt alá és felé rendelt viszonyrendszer áll fenn, akkor csupán szakmai profizmusról, szakmai korrektségről volna szó, és nem alkotásról. Az alkotás elengedhetetlen esszenciája számomra a kísérletezés, a bizonytalan kimenetel, a hiba lehetősége, maga az eshetőség. […]”
